Building a film on a wall….
Large parts of June and July were spent preparing for our big filming block in September. We painstakingly went through all the transcripts of the interviews we have already conducted, broke them down into themes and then constructed the film we are making point by point on Owen, the directors, wall. We are very excited with results, now all that left to do is to actually film the thing. |

Fundraising an urgent shout out

Photograph courtesy of John Sturrock/reportdigital.co.ukWe have been incredibly successful in fundraising for the project so far. However, in September and October we will be running a second Kickstarter campaign to specifically raise more money to cover the cost of the archive we would like to use in the film. We need to raise a minimum 10,000 pounds in order to do this. I know many people have already donated but now is the time to start thinking bigger.Have you asked your union branch to donate? Could you put on a small fundraising event for the film? Is there a conference or event coming up where we could have a stall? We want to make this the definitive film about the strike but we need just a little more help to make it happen.
