News from Still the Enemy Within

Thirty years ago, Thatcher went to war. These are the miners who fought back

Still the Enemy Within on Channel 4

At the beginning of the year the Still the Enemy Within team was interviewed by Paul Mason, for a special report on Channel 4 news, about the release of the Tory Cabinet papers. You can see the full interview and video by clicking here . The interview was filmed at the Still the Enemy Within office and featured one of the main contributors to the film, ex- miner Paul Symonds.

Paul Mason will be joining author, Guardian columnist and associate editor Seumas Milne at our special event to celebrate the start of the strike at Rich Mix Cinema on the 8th March (see details further down below).

The team get down and dirty in Wales

This month the team were in Bristol and Wales, interviewing ex-miners about their strike experience. They were lucky enough to film down an actual old mine shaft, as well as getting some stunning footage of ex-mining areas, to top it off they were joined by some unexpected horsey friends!
